reputer program family provides state of the art software solutions to compute and visualize repeats in whole genomes or chromosomes.

[edit] Installation

In a Linux box, do the following to install reputer: 

1. Download the right architecture tar.gz file for reputer (e.g. solaris, linux, macosx, 32-bit, 64-bit, ...)
2. Extract the .tar.gz file and chown to root.root recursively.
3. mkdir /usr/local/reputer
4. cp rep* /usr/local/reputer
5. put the /usr/local/reputer path to environment variable PATH
