TANDEM open source is software that can match tandem mass spectra with peptide sequences, in a process that has come to be known as protein identification.

Installation instructions:
1. For windows, download the file: ftp://ftp.thegpm.org/projects/tandem/binaries/win32_tandem.zip and extract the contents.
2. Whatever directory you put in the programs, make sure that directory is appended to the PATH environment variable.
