GVRG: Build web based search driven by gene ID
Kiran has a bunch of GVRG stuff on the private KLAB wiki.
[edit] Problem
The GVRG is interested in building a comprehensive viral resource center containing (1) a collection of searchable databases for biological as well as omics-data and (2) web based tools to manage, search and analyze these data. In this context this group could use a web-based browsing tool to display these information about the genes that they are working on. Right now we have the GenBank files which mention these genes and an Excel spreadsheet which contains information about each gene. Make a web tool which conveniently displays as-yet-unspecified data from these sources.
[edit] Resources
- Web page restricting access to various pages based on user privileges View
- Web page with concept and active hyper-link to other resources relevant to this project View
- Power Point presentation prepared for our first meeting with the Lincoln group here
- Meeting minutes and data files are here

- Read data from /home/jhannah/apache2/htdocs/gbrowse/databases/misc/*gbk
- Display all annotations including AA and NA sequences
- Display all data from "10 cluster RNA I+II+III PROTECTED pwdchip 04-25-06.xls"
- Link to GBrowse
